LESSON 1: DESCRIBE WHY COMPUTERS ARE IMPORTANT
- The candidate is introduced to why computers are important to modern society.
LESSON 2: EXPLAIN HOW IT WORKS
- The candidate is introduced to the essentials of the computer system and focuses on how the computer system operates.
LESSON 3: BASIC COMPUTER PARTS
- The candidate will be introduced to the internal components of the computer.

- There will be a review for Lessons 1-3.

Course content

LESSON 4: BOOT-UP SEQUENCE
- The candidate is introduced to the best practices in start-up & shut-down of computer systems.
LESSON 5: USING THE MOUSE
- The candidate will be challenged to use the mouse and keyboard to complete tasks.
LESSON 6: IDENTIFYING THE KEYBOARD
- The candidate will be introduced to the qwerty keyboard.
LESSON 7: FILE AND FOLDER MANAGEMENT
- The candidate will be asked to perform tasks with the aim to manage Files and Folders on the computer systems

- There will be a review for Lessons 4-7.
